The response from the You Pic community to my Pictures has been overwhelming and given me a boost in confidence, and pushed me as an artist, for that you have my thanks. I'm a serious hobbyist who does the occasional professional gig, and I'm enjoying doing more and more of that lately. I've had a love affair with photography since I was at high school (where I was the school photographer) and have dabbled in photography since. I went off and studied behavioural science then worked in mental health, which is where my interest in people comes from. And I've always come back to photography to feed my soul.

I live on Waiheke Island off Auckland, New Zealand, it is a great place for inspiration and so beautiful to live on. It also has a fine community of incredible photographers to learn and share with.

I love Photography for two reasons, it is honest and it is art. It can capture people at a really raw and profound moment and it can capture everything in way that can alter our perception and our reality. I love observing the world and people around me to capture those things in my photos. And sometimes I just like something, so photograph it.
