I live on the coast of West Cumbria, a stretch of coast line scared by ship building, the slave trade, mining for coal and iron ore. To the north are the century old spoils of mining and steel production, to the south the remnants of the UK's nuclear arms race and our first commercial nuclear reactors. In stark contrast to the west there is the Manx jewel of the Irish sea and to the east are the hill farms and fells, the english lakes, waters, thwaits and meres. So I have plenty to photograph.
