Born in Doha, Qatar in 1986 to Palestinian parents, moving to Amman, Jordan shortly after, where he currently lives and works, Zakaria completed a bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Jordan.

Zakaria's passion for the arts started from shooting and making skateboarding videos, after which switching from the moving image to the still one.

His interest in photography lies in the honesty of the medium. Zakaria uses photography as a tool to investigate concepts generally overlooked for their familiarity and ostensible simplicity.
