Bio
In July 1996, my life changed forever. I moved from Southern California to Bozeman, Montana to complete my education at Montana State University; Bachelor of Arts in History/Teaching and Master of Arts. I also tell people that I received my PhD in all things outdoors – fly-fishing, hiking, backpacking, camping and more.
In 2016, after 12 years in Denver, Colorado, we returned home to Montana. But it was during my time in Colorado that photography became increasingly important to me. Through many return trips to my ‘old-backyard,’ I felt the need to establish a visual library of my favorite places as a way for me to hold on to a region that had an unbreakable grip on my sense of place – an emotional and physical bond that could not be broken by distance.
These images became the foundation for kcgeoimages and a way for me to maintain a connectedness to an environment that had made me one of its own. Now back in Montana, I am excited to continue exploring the places that inspire me so much and sharing them with you.
Thru the inspiration of my beautiful wife, Jacy, students, family and friends, kcgeoimages gave me a way to share the amazing geography/images of the Greater Yellowstone Region with the rest of you. Enjoy!
