Bio
I've been shooting since the mid 70's. I started with a Nikkormat EL, http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/nikkormat/elseries/el/ which my dad and I (mostly dad) had purchased for a trip to Colorado. That old EL gave many years of excellent service.
I sold the EL to purchase a new digital camera. Wish I hadn't as it was a big disappointment. An early Sony, difficult to operate and a real pain to transfer photos to the computer.
Years later I had a Motorola Rizr phone which was my reintroduction to digital photography. In 2010 after lots of research and several years of wanting a Nikon D700 I finally took the plunge and bought one along with a trio of lenses. Thus began the very steep learning curve from camera phone to a full frame DSLR.
Never really having any formal photographic training other than a few Nikon sponsored classes I’m virtually self taught. Ok, I read a lot. Post production editing software was purchased and that learning curve seemed to go on forever. Eventually I “graduated” from the dreaded auto everything setting on the camera, even abandoned JPEG’s for RAW format as it’s so much more accommodating when preforming editing.
Ok, fast forward several years of experience and I think I’ve got this down pretty well. Although I’m always learning something new, so it’s a continual growing experience.
I shoot whatever interests me at the moment be it landscapes, automobiles, architecture or what-have-you, it's all fun.
Enjoy your visit and thank you for stopping by.
