Born on 19.2.1960 in Zurich.

Photography has accompanied me, but with interruptions, since 1976. I took my first photography course at school with an SLR camera that I had borrowed from an acquaintance. There I learned about photography from pressing the shutter button to film processing.

In 1978 I could afford my first own camera. At that time I experimented mainly with slide films and occasionally worked with wet film. In 1980 I could afford a better and for that time already very advanced camera. Since then I have mostly been working with landscape photography but also animals and nature in general.

A few years ago I switched to digital photography and made my first attempts with a compact digital camera. But soon I realized that this was not enough for me, especially since I could not change lenses. Consequently, I switched to a digital SLR camera and for some time now I have also added a mirrorless model. Photographically I would like to develop naturally and therefore I try to bring myself always on the newest conditions.

It makes me happy when other people like my pictures. The possibility to "freeze" the immediate moment and to preserve it for a long time fascinates me about photography. In addition, this hobby offers me the necessary balance to my job.
