My life-long passionate love of photography is an extension of my professional analytic dialogue with “Psyche.” As Jung notes in CW 13, p.50, “It is as if we did not know or else continuously forgot that everything we are conscious of is an image and image is psyche.” In my words I don’t take a photograph, psyche takes me into an archetypal numinous emotional experience of it and asks “have we met” https://vimeo.com/602662024. That context embodies a literal, personal, culturally gendered, hermeneutic, geopolitic historic context on the one hand, and on the other an impersonal, symbolic mythophoetic autonomous context that is paradoxically soulfully related and distinct “at once.” That dreaming-body story is paradoxically soulfully related and distinct “at once.” Together they embody an individuational creation mythos that invites ego into it and says “take me now”..."Psyche" is the archetypal imaginal basis of my photographic dialogue.  That "critical dialogue" is not mutually exclusive or devoid of literal, geopolitic, culturally gendered history, or archetypally patterned, symbolic mythophoetic context..."Mythophoetic" is a term I coined to embody a poetic imaginal exchange with the numen in everyday life.
