My interest in photography started when I was in high school. As a graduation gift, my parents got me the new Canon AE-1, which I took just about everywhere. I became a firefighter for a short time before expecting my first child, then switched to photographing the calls we were sent to and the training sessions. When digital came out, I moved right along with it. My go to camera is my Nikon. I'm learning the Canon slowly. I love candid shots, flowers, and landscapes.
I was brought back after committing suicide and am no longer able to work. Suicide awareness is a big thing for me as both my children's best friends committed suicide. I fill my time doing or trying anything crafty. I love book folding and hope to sell one of my books to the Hotel Roanoke to use as part of their wedding package. I also do pottery, make jewelry, draw, paint, have made stained glass pieces, finger knit, do adult coloring, sew, crochet necklaces, make rustic angels using hemp string and beads, do Diamond Dust art, and make slideshows, to name a few. I'm willing to try anything. I also enjoy reading mysteries, fishing, and travel.
I am a single woman who lived in Cherry Hill, New Jersey until moving to Roanoke, Virginia ten years ago. The country presents many photo opportunities, which is the work that you'll be seeing. I hope you enjoy my photography and are about to feel it, as well as see it. BTW, I may live in Virginia, but the Philadelphia Eagles are in my DNA!
