Photography allows us to freeze a moment in time, capturing the light in a special way that the eye might not detect. It takes the usual impression of a person--someone who never ceases to move--and freezes that impression in time. This process creates an instant abstraction of the person we know. Black and white images further remove the image from the reality, leaving us to focus on the shapes, lines, textures and contrasts.

Model photography allows me to work with another person to create a vision. That collaboration is truly special because it really does take both the photographer and the model to make the final image.
