I was born in Chicago's Humboldt Park on Rockwell and Potomac in 1967 at Norwegian Hospital. In 1971 was family was burned out Humboldt Park. Family brought a house in Logan Square in 1972 and settle down. My mother got me into painting by always buying me model airplanes and cars to paint. I never painted them the way they should. Was a member of the CUB & BOY Scouts of America. In 1982 joined on of the first Graffiti crews in Chicago Artisticbombingcrew. Between 1982 and 1987 painted on the rooftops of Chicago bringing New York style Graffiti to the masses .
In 1987 join the Illinois National Guard as a member of The 108 SPT BTN HQ Co Transpiration Platoon. I served 5 years with an Honorable Discharge. Tended City Colleges at night time taking classes for mechanical engineering while worked fulltime and served National Guard duties on weekend. Worked for Stiffel Lamps as an engineer working with designers to implement theirproducts to a manufacturing environment .
In 2003 while still employed fulltime started teaching with non-profit groups Co-Operative Image Group , The Graffiti Zone and The Rumble Arts Center working with children on murals. Also became the Moderator for the Chicago Graffiti fourums a site used by school and universities as a place of reference to their students to learn about the history of Chicago Graffiti. Today the site still gets 1 million hits a year. My photo collection is now over 25 years of Chicago graffiti and street art. They have come out on page one in the Chicago section of Roger Gastonâs History of American Graffiti and a few other publications. I have worked with the FLYPAPER, Chicagoâs first underground Graffiti newspaper. In 2007 my one of my pieces was featured in a video game called âCRACKDOWN 2â by Ruffhouse for the X-BOX 360. Have curated 2 Milwaukee Ave Arts Festival opening up pop up gallery storefront called Advance Basic Concept and a few shows in Rodgers Park.
