I am an interior designer by profession and dabble in photography as a hobby or I should say as an obsession.
My camera's are small, I also use my cell phone, nothing special really, no additional lens etc.. they fit in my purse and go with me everywhere.
It might take me many shots to get the right look as it can be difficult to get a pic of what I see and want to express. I prefer natural light photos.
I see beauty in almost all things in the cycle of life no matter the size, from the smallest of creatures/nature etc... to the largest, or at least as far as my cameras capabilities will take me.
I typically don't take many pics of people except for my grand babies.
I love nature and animals. I became much more involved with my photography when I was going through cancer treatments: I needed to pull energy from the sun and the little beautiful plants and things in my yard while recovering. I needed something to get me up and motivated again and photography became a crucial part of my regaining my strength. I am now cancer free and loving life. The digital age has allowed me this new way of expressing myself and look forward to many years of doing so.
I would like to add that approximately 90% of my pics are as they were taken. In fact, I deliberately try not to manipulate my photo's, so very few are. I will crop, rotate and occasionally adjust the brightest/contrast if the pic doesn't reflect how it looked in person to me, but overall I try to share what see and the natural way it looked in the moment.
