I shoot almost anything that doesn't shoot back. You should write the stories and songs of your life, to hang your dreams upon. I collect old cameras and archive about forty thousand images from film and digital files. I've been an ex-pat in Asia and the Middle East and traveled in Europe. There are few "bad" pictures and fewer "untalented" photographers. There is just a range of experience, a range in the quality of the photographic system (camera) and a range of exposure a person can have. A person of little means living in a third world tropics zone with a simple low quality camera and no opportunity in their lifetime to travel is unlikely to produce superior quality images of snow capped peaks or busy industrial city sites. This doesn't mean that "theirs" is not "photography". Photography is for the masses and EVERY time a person frames a picture,,,pulls the shutter,,,,and captures that single moment in "time-space",,,a fragment of their lives, "it is magic." I encourage Every Person alive to try it and if you can't get a camera, then freeze frame a moment of your life with your mind. Every photographer should understand that mental "visualization" is a powerful tool. Photography can and will be a powerful tool uniting the differences in our various cultures around the globe. What makes a human distinct from the other animals? Man alone makes fire,,,,and takes pictures.
