I'm André Figueiredo, a Brazilian born in 1972. I work in advertising,
and in a few years I would love to be working with nothing but photography.
Until that happens, I'll dedicate most of my free time studying photography, travelling around the world whenever possible. In recent years, I’ve participated in a few photographic expeditions exploring landscapes, ethnic groups and wildlife. I've been to the Atacama desert, Patagonia, Yukon, Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Etna, Iceland, Norway... Currently, I'm showing my work at some virtual galleries, such as ViewBug, Gurushots and Youpic: In the last one, I've been awarded as the best South American, with 230 internationally awarded photos. In that gallery alone, I have more than 5 million views and 20.000 followers. I also have pictures that have been published in specialized magazines, including a few interviews about my work. In 2012, I had 80 of my best photographs exibit to the public at a great shopping mall in São Paulo, Brazil. I named it Show Inspiration. I'm currently planning my next exhibition and my first photographic book.My nickname in the photo world is ANDRE11- a tribut to the diaphragm number I normally use when shooting landscapes. My work is available for sale. My biggest inspiration is the master Ansel Admans and my main references come from Marc Adamus and Sebastião Salgado.
