Alice Van Der Sluis

My name is Alice van der Sluis. I was born in 1971 in the Netherlands. 12 years ago I discovered my love for photography and decided to study photography at the Dutch University of applied Photography. Here I followed a two years Applied Photography training were I learned especially the technical aspects of photography. My life went in a another direction, and photography went to the background, until 3.5 years ago when I decided to live on the beautiful island of Crete. By the beautiful light that is present on this island I rediscovered photography and found my true passion: Fine Art photography. For me photography is not a goal, but a way, a way to create art… Although I'm technically trained, for me the artistic aspects are the most important. I like to manipulate and edit my images. In the modern creative editing techniques I am more or less self-taught and I learn and discover every day new ways to express myself through my art.
