I apologize for all the adjustements and deletions and changes going on in my photo album, or whatever you call it. I was trying to make a cover photo. I don't know what size to make it so I was experimenting and, well, chaos ensued. I still don't have a decent cover image. anybody know what size to make it, or if anyone has tips, they would be greatly appreciated. I'm Brand NEW to YouPic. I didn't even know it existed till today.
I Love taking pictures but I was never good at it. Digital cameras have improved my skills you can say. People say I have a good eye but in a way I believe Yes, I took a great photo, but the Image was already THERE, and i just happen to have had my camera handy and ready to go.
I feel I do have an Eye that is very good at seeing those already-there Images, and often, when I don't have my camera handy, I'll see images that catch my eye enough to almost startle me to say 'Oh man! that would be a Great shot".
In my opinion, I live in an awesome locale for one who enjoys taking photos. ALL of Upstate NY for hundreds of miles around is jam packed with great images everywhere and needing to be photographed.
A few months ago I had a Samsung 200F. For me, it was a Great Camera, and the only one of it's kind, that could send photos via Email, to any Email address, without needing any third party nonsense, or clouds, or special software. As long as I had a WiFi thing going on, like at McDonalds, or Dunkin Donuts, or wherever, I could send anybody with an email address, which is just about everybody, an email with a photo attached. Along with cool email feature, it had the ability to send photos just about anyway you can think of to anybody anywhere. It had a remote view finder. I can point the camera at an image, and my Wife from wherever she was, could snap photos remotely, straight to her Smartphone, as if she was standing there taking the picture with her Smartphone. It was very Cool like that. There were other unique features that made it easy and fun to use. Lots of Fun! And, on top of all that, I think it took great photos as well, and did a good job in low light situations, which was important to me.
I Lost the 200F!!! I take a lot of Meds sometimes, and so I Lose things all the time. They usually eventually turn up, and sometimes in unusual places. Once I left the keys to my wife's car in a kitchen cabinet setting on top of a jar of peanut butter. BUT, the Good News is I was able to get an Upgrade, and chose the Samsung WB350F, which had for one thing, a nice sized retro like textured case, which I find very attractive, and unlike anything else out there, but also, more impoortantly, MUCH Needed! My right hand is all botched up with numerous issues. I can't make a complete grip. Quite often the Pain suddenly breaks through and increases to the point where I can't use it at all. I drop things, including my poor camera, all the time because of the numbness in it. My shutter button finger gets so numb, I miss shots because I can't feel where the button is! I So have to use the wrist strap and make it somewhat snug around my wrist or that camera won't last another day. So the design of the WB350 works very well for me. I have the 3 year Accidental Coverage on it with SquareTrade. Anyway, I Love the Samsung WB350F. Check it out if you're thinking about getting a New point and shoot type camera with tons of cool features. In fact, by now they probably have an updated model that's even better.
By the way, I Love to write. I can't help it. I'm a LifeLong Bipolar. In the 70s I was a "Manic-Depressive" with a "Mood Affective Disorder" which nobody liked to talk about. A lot of stigma about it not too long ago. Things have gotten better, but I also have Co-Morbid ADD and OCD. I believe ALL Bipolars do. I'm on Meds, but still, they're Not Perfect. I can get obsessive about things, but more like "OCD Light". I can Write Forever. I often re-arrange or put things in order, or neaten things up, at stores, clothing racks and such. I'm not a perfectionist by a long shot. I was an Electro-Mechanical Tech all my Life as Well... A Great One! I like form and function. I Love to make "Things" (defined: Every Thing, Any Thing, All Things, Anywhere) work properly, off better than new, and look Nice. Nice doesn't mean Perfect. I just have a Knack for doing quick dress up jobs on "Things". Yesterday, at Walmart, while my wife was in the RestRoom, near the rest room was a sunglasses rack thing that was circular and spins around. It was a mess so I squared it away and made it nice and neat, with all the sunglasses sitting on there display hooks. It wasn't perfect, but it was nice, and customers could more better see the different styles. My wife gets a kick out of it. HA! Boy, I could tell you stories about my Life you wouldn't believe. Many are funny, but so too, many are sad. I call Bipolar Disorder, appropriately, a Gift and a Curse.
Alright that's enough for now. I'm the Fotographer From Flatbush. I'm 52, retired due to some functional disabilities but I can get around, carefully. I have an Awesome Digital Camera, a Samsung WB350. I Love to Take Photographs. I live Upstate NY in a small town called Owego, which in 2009, was voted "America's Coolest Small Town". I joined YouPic upon discovering it through a Link I followed from Facebook. I'm hoping to Learn from others, to become a Better Photographer. I'm hoping to Learn by example. And I will. That's one of the Gifts of My Bipolar Disorder, I can sometimes become an expert at things, in a relatively short period of time. I have a LOT of skills, abilities, knowledge, about many things, but no certificates, degrees, etc. Doesn't Matter. I'm good with All that. I love Learning new Things. I hope my brain is on board with this photography bit and allows me to stay interested in it, and so too, allows me to get Good at it. Not Perfect, just Good, or Better than I am now. I'll be "Good" with that.
