My name is Sofia Conti and I have recently qualified with a Distinction in BA Professional Photography degree at Robert Gordon University, Gray’s School of Art.
From childhood I have had a creative flare by drawing and enjoy various forms of art and design. After studying Higher Art and Higher, Craft and Design in 6th year at St. Augustine’s High School, I decided to work for a year to gain more life experience before I progressed to studying HNC Interior Design at Edinburgh Telford College.
After this I worked in a variety of roles that where more customer focused which included elements of community engagement and enforcement. I decided 3 years ago to change my career by picking up a camera to get back into the Creative Industries.
My journey began at New College Lanarkshire, Motherwell, where I studied HNC Photography. Receiving an A for my Graded Unit that helped me earn a place within Edinburgh College, HND2 Photography, where I continued my journey to BA professional Photography at gray's school of art. The main focus of my photography is within the Documentary Genre, along with Photojournalism, Portraits, Corporate and editorial work. I NOW plan to further my studies at Falmouth University, to gain a Masters Degree in Photography, along with gaining more professional experience.
