Paulo Rapoport Popó

Brazilian, born in São Paulo, São Paulo. Sociologist graduated from USP. Musician (bass player) and photographer. Due to my long activity as a musician this is the first subject present in my photographic work. I have photographed shows and musical performances in the most diverse spaces. Over the years I photographed and worked on the graphic design of several CDs. Among them, Monica Salmaso, Lea Freire and Amilton Godoy, Vento em Madeira, Thadeu Romano, Tibo Delor, José Luis Martins, Official Trio, Erineu Mezarani, Newton Carneiro, etc. I also created a photo studio where I produce material that is normally focused on music. My second most frequent subject is the urban photos of people and street situations. In this particular I built my material in the city and on trips, especially Cuba, India, Iceland, Iran, Nepal, Bhutan, Ethiopia, etc. I believe that photography ended up being the synthesis of my interests and need for expression, becoming my main activity in recent years. My photography training passes through courses with Gal Oppido, Clício Barroso, Erico Hiller among many others via the web.
