Aeons ago I did tons of Black and White Analogue PICs, developed in my Bathroom using a Meopta enlarger. Even wrote a software to organize my development and enlarger settings. My Canon AE1 and the Mamiya 645 used to be my closest friends. Digital somewhat killed my vision of imaging and only when I got my hands on the 600D it started to be interesting again. Today the Canon is mostly retired and the Fuji, which is a total miracle to me, and my phone are my main tools.
