I have been taking photographs for fifty years or so. It started out as a way to record events of my life. A record that would be left after I am gone, to show someone, that I did exist and also to remind me of people, places and things that I might eventually forget. I have grown to love photography as more than just a record of my life but as a means of appreciating Gods creation, an art form and to record things that interest me and hopefully interest others. I admire good photographs made by others and I long to create some of my own.
Although I have been a photographer for a long time (in human terms) I don't regard my self as a professional but an enthusiast. I know I have a lot more that I can learn and improve on.
Your photography informs us to places and events from the world over, it increases our knowledge of the world we might never realize and it brings people from all over the planet together in a good way, it narrows the divide between us. It also humbles us, because you can not help to realize our insignificance when looking at our amazing world! I invite you to give critism/assistance in improving my photograhy.
