It is with the thrill of the good things in life and with a delicious sense of gratitude that we begin this post.
Photography has given me exactly everything I ever wanted to have. This does not involve money, on the contrary, I am passionate about smiles, the essential, that comes from the soul, that rejoices and brings peace. I came from a small city, the modest Ibirité, and I am very proud to carry the simplicity of those who have been created in the midst of obstacles, in a life of scarce smiles. I have become what I am today, a true admirer of simple and sincere feelings. At the age of seven, when I lost my father and saw my mother with 4 small children and no conditions to raise them, I could not imagine what life was in store for me. Faced with so much financial need, I ended up having to live in Ipatinga, away from my mother and already without my father. I started to live with my godmother, who assumed for some years the commitment to make me a man, with education and loyalty the height for the same.
The years passed and I felt the need to return and help my mother to rise again, a poor, hard-working, kind-hearted woman. We started selling oranges on the streets, and that was never a shame to us. This action today is a source of great pride, because we know that we overcome the challenges with humility and that we never had to look for other ways (the wrong ones) to get where we want. The boy grew up, smitten with smiles, and one day he met the photograph. Something transformer that could freeze forever what he loved most. He devoted himself to the love of photography intensely, to the point of making his passion a profession soon in his second year of experience with the new toy that gave him the power to freeze smiles.
What inspires me today is to see the smile on the face of people who trust in my madness. My proposal is to capture the story the way it really happens, managing to merge the classic with the creative, without forcing actions that are not spontaneous, to insert body and soul and to capture that moment that will in the future excite generations. I took photography not only as a profession, but as a way of life. With four years in the trade and directly relating to beautiful stories, I have a singular way of seeing the world, in which I try to always extract the simplest and most true of each moment.
Despite the usual smile, I take this art very seriously, because I know the importance it represents in the life of every person I photograph. The greatest pleasure in following photography as a way of life is to seek to overcome each new day and try to be better and even happier every day.
New work, knowing each new story. The result of all this is images that overflow feelings, emotions and spontaneity. One of the characteristics of my work as a photographer of emotions, which is how I am known. I believe that dreams have no limits, that we can be who we are and make with much love what we like.
Welcome to a world where your social class does not matter to me. I'm interested in your smile and I believe it's the best you can offer me!
Please feel at home!
