Jose Manuel Ramirez has been working as a professional photographer for thirty years. Traveling around the world and living in different countries such as USA, Germany, Portugal and Japan, during four years he resided in China. As a freelance photographer, he has worked for various NGOs (Greenpeace, Red Cross, Unicef Spain etc.), and also he has cooperated with Spanish photographic agencies such as EFE, Staff, Europa press, and IPA Press, and newspapers like El País or Bild Zeitung. Since 2007 until 2010, he is the director correspondent of the office of IPA Press China. Having a degree in Cultural Anthropology, his photography is the product of his social interests both as a photographer and as an anthropologist. He has made different exhibitions, "Babel_India",

José Manuel Ramírez ha trabajado como fotógrafo profesional más de treinta años. Viajando alrededor del mundo y viviendo en diferentes países como: Estados Unidos, Alemania, Portugal, Japón, durante cuatro años ha residido en China. Como fotógrafo freelance, ha trabajado con distintas ONGs, entre otras con Greenpeace, Cruz Roja, Unicef..., ha colaborado con agencias fotográficas como Staff, Efe, Europa Press, IPA Press, y con periódicos como El País o Bild Zeitung.
Desde 2007 hasta el 2010, ha sido corresponsal y director en China de la oficina de IPA press. Es licenciado en Antropología Cultural, su fotografía es el producto de su interés social tanto como fotógrafo como antropólogo. Ha hecho distintas exposiciones, “Babel_India”,
