At the almost healthy age of (ahem), I find it easier to tell you more about things I have not done than about things I have done. I grew up around all aspects of photography but decided it was not what I wanted to do. No matter though, the shutterbug was in my blood because I now find it a totally different animal than when I was young working in the darkroom or lugging equipment and changing film for my father at weddings and other shooting sessions. And I must admit, I have forgotten far more than I ever knew, so I have started right here at the beginning or the starting line once more. We shall see what happens!
You may notice I do a lot of sky photos. When I was growing up in Texas we watched the sky for signs of rain, but mostly in the spring for tornadoes. So I just got in the habit of looking up. Now I live in New Mexico, and she has very large skies! Except for the denser forests and some mountain valleys, you will see more sky than anything else. We don't receive a large amount of precipitation for most of the state, so when you see a cloud you think rain, snow, or maybe a dust storm?". We are known as the Land of Enchantment and for good reason. The skies play a huge part. So yep, I take a lot of sky pictures. I am trying to wean myself off of them a bit so I can try some other areas, but you know what they say! I have no idea what they say. I'm just snapping shutters. Peace.
